Social media is an amazing, rapidly growing jungle of platforms, each alive with possibilities. And the expanding quantity of “expert” opinions can be overwhelming. The most common questions we hear are: What platforms should I stick with? Whose opinions are worth my attention? Where and how should I invest my limited time and efforts? What best practices should I be following? Am I behind or up to speed with the use of automation?

This webinar will discuss answers to these questions, including:

  • Review of major social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat, and trends in each of them.

  • Targeted social media writing essentials such as hooks, consistent tone, short sentences, and calls to action. We’ll take a look at classic examples of great social media writing.

  • Gauging the impact of gender, age, and automation on what to write and what not to write.

After the webinar, you will be:

  • More inspired by best practices.

  • More focused on what matters most in social media writing.

  • More confident your writing will stand out against the competition.

40 Under 40

Each year, Connect highlights meeting planners, sales managers, chefs, marketers and other professionals who are making an early mark in the association and specialty organization. They are nominated for the annual honor by their peers and colleagues, and we want to know who you think should make this year’s list. If you know someone under the age of 40 who is already compiling an impressive list of accomplishments or has dedicated his or her time and energy to the meetings industry, nominate the person for this special honor. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS MARCH 22, 2017

After all nominations are received, they will be reviewed and evaluated by a team of editors and selected based on references, industry involvement and honors, social media presence and other industry resources. The 40 Under 40 honorees will be featured in an issue of Connect magazine and recognized at Connect Marketplace, the co-located meetings conference and trade show. Read more here
